Staff of First Presbyterian Church of Borger

Mrs. Pat Petty has been the organist for First Presbyterian Church of Borger since 1971; she was taught by Clariss Copeland of Borger, and did undergraduate work at TCU (Texas Christian University).  She has played at more weddings than she would care to count, and sings alto in the local Community Choir.  The wife of Tom Petty for thirty-seven years and the mother of three children, Pat also enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and yard-work.  She has served the church as both a deacon and an elder, and enjoys listening to and performing a wide variety of musical genres.

Mr. J. Scott Glenn has been the Musical Director for First Presbyterian Church of Borger since 1967.  Scott is a true “child of the church,” as his father, the late Rev. James Glenn, served the Borger congregation from 1940 until 1964.  Scott did undergraduate work at Frank Phillips Community College and West Texas State University (now West Texas A&M University).  Scott taught speech, drama, and English in the Borger School District, and says that over a hundred musicals and dramas were performed at the High School under his direction prior to his retirement from the school district.  Scott appreciates all types of music, and enjoys traveling; he has a wide range of masks which he has collected from around the world.  Scott has served the church as an elder in addition to his musical responsibilities.
